Top 10 Renewable Energy Sources
Land Rover has recognized the importance of eliminating the harmful forms of pollution and has made a dedication in their Land Rover sustainability report to find supplementary forms of energy for development and manufacturing.
There are a range of environmental friendly and renewable energy sources available that offer alternate sources of energy that will help reverse the harmful effects of certain forms of pollution.
There is a list of the top 10 renewable energy sources:
- Nuclear Power: obtained through nuclear technology that extracts energy from minute nuclei through controlled nuclear reactions. Professionals believe that nuclear energy is a sustainable energy source that reduces carbon emissions and helps with energy security by decreasing dependence on foreign oil.
- Compressed Natural Gas: This is an environment friendly substitute for gas like gasoline, diesel and propane fuel. This gas is used in traditional gasoline engines which are converted to B-fuel vehicles.
- Biomass: This refers to living or dead biological material that can be used as fuel for industrial production
- Geothermal power: This is the most efficient and powerful way to extract energy naturally from the earth. This doesn’t need any fuel to generate electricity.
- Radiant energy: This energy is obtained directly from the environment or from ordinary electricity by using the fractional method. This natural energy can work the same as ordinary electricity at less than 1% of the cost.
- Hydroelectricity: This is generated by Hydropower. Using the force of gushing water generates the power. This is the most used form of renewable energy and does not harm the environment in anyway.
- Wind Power: Conversion of wind energy by wind turbines into useful energy form such as electricity or mechanical energy. This has the lowest environmental impacts of the all the energy sources
- Solar power: Solar power controls the suns energy to produce electricity. This is one of the fastest growing energy sources and is offering incentive programs to make green energy a more economically practical option.
- Wave power: Carrying energy from the oceans surface, waves capture the energy for useful work such as generating electricity.
- Tidal power: Tidal power generation is similar to wind turbine power generation. It is more environmental friendly. This can be generated in two ways: First is by tidal stream generators and second is by barrage generation.
